Political reconciliation : need of the hour King Gyanendra Shah’s recent visit to Lumbini and his message to the people has rekindled another hope of political reconciliation among the political parties, royalists, nationalists, civil society members and general people, at a time when the nation is on the way to becoming a failed state owing to irresponsible, insensible and egoistic political acts of the senior political leaders. The King in his speech has again reiterated and requested all to come together thus forgetting misdeeds and misunderstanding of the past for the sake of the nation and the people . It is hoped that the political leaders and the parties will take the King’s message in good faith and come forward for the political reconciliation to avoid any looming political crisis.  

Prachand secretly met with King Gyanendra? I am not surprised to know that Maoist Supremo Prachanda had recently met with King Gyanendra considering the deteriorating national politics . However, I am not so sure whether Yogi Adinath really facilitated the meeting between them as claimed by him in this VDO. However, Ramesh Malla, Prachanda's personal secretary, dismissed the rumours as fabricated and false. He stated that even after the Maoist movement has ended, a meeting with King Gyanendra is not possible. Being a staunch supporter of constitutional monarchy and multiparty democracy, I love to see the other senior political leaders would also seriously consider for political reconciliation keeping in view of the worsening political situation in the nation.
