Save the nation from being another Sikkim

Save the nation from being another Sikkim

Both the Oli led government and the Chand led CPN deserves appreciation for their upcoming peace talks going to be held in near future “Govt forms talk-team to hold talks with Biplav-led party”(THT online, March 2). It seems that the government has agreed to meet their demands that they had put forwarded to the government to fulfil before sitting on the negotiation table. This shows that both of them are keen to resolve their political indifference on the negotiation table and join hands together for the well-being of the nation and the people rather than taking different political paths in order to gain their upper hands on the political agenda.

The nation and the people cannot bear any more political and social violence other than they had seen and experienced during the ten long years so-called the people’s war under the leadership of Pushpa Kamal Dahal who had decided to join mainstreaming politics almost 16 years ago and is now the co-chair of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP). Likewise, Biplav led party might have been thinking to denounce violence and to joining mainstream politics which should be welcomed with open hands.

In fact, considering the on-going political mess the nation is facing, time has come for any one of but the nationalist senior political leaders or big parties with strong desire to bring all the political forces and other stakeholders together to the round table discussion to carve out a nationalistic political structure for the welfare of the nation and the people. The current political structure does not seem to go for long for a number of political, economical, financial, geographical and social reasons External power players seem to have been heavily active as compared to the previous years to destabilize the nation for their own political interest.
